Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) is a nationally recognized real estate credential recognized and endorsed by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).

The SRES designation is designed to better educate REALTORS® when working with home buyers and sellers who are 50 years or older. I have worked with seniors many times and have come to realize that there are very real issues that are different for this segment of the market. After working with several senior citizens over the years and more recently in 2007 and into 2008, I decided that I could better serve them by increasing my education with the SRES designation.

I am including basic information about the SRES designation below that is provided by the SRES Council and the NAR.

The SRES designation course includes topics such as distinguishing characteristics and trends related to the 50+ population; housing, finance, and retirement income considerations of these consumers; outreach methods for building 50 and older clientele; and counseling strategies to help clients and customers plan ahead for life transitions. Participants can learn:
When one set of our parents decided to move to Utah, we recommended Harry to them. They were very happy with his assistance and felt that he kept them informed every step of the way. We, too, appreciated his personal touch in working with them. They were getting older, and they needed to have many aspects of the transaction explained time and again. Harry treated them with the utmost dignity as he patiently served their needs.

I am very happy to include Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) in my list of educational credentials. In addition to SRES, I also hold the following designations and certifications: ABR, AHWD, CRS, e-PRO, GRI, & TRC.

In fact, I am the only REALTOR® in the entire state of Utah and one of only four in the entire United States who holds all seven of these prestigious and nationally recognized credentials.*
